How Much Trouble Can I Get Into?
I started a blog some years ago, called "Just Me ... Espousing." I imagine it didn't gain much traction because the word "espousing" is one not used very often. I had to go with it because the other names were all taken as domains within Blogger. Now, though, the title is more in line with the reason for this blog page.
I've been a writer since before the earth's crust cooled, starting as a news writer for the NBC affiliate in Hartford, Connecticut in 1976 and I've been writing ever since. Writing is the main way I feel comfortable spouting out. But it's also the main way I feel I can help.
Some of the things you'll find on this page include adventures with our dogs, Finnegan, the boxer boy, and Sophie, the grouchy old lady dachshund.
I am a widow, and I live with two other widows; we are the Crazy Widow Ladies on the Hill -- literally. One is my best friend, Julie, a firefighter who retired after 24 years of saving the world. We have a tendency to go on spur-of-the-moment adventures, part of Julie's retirement passion -- outdoor, nature, and astrophotography. We drove from Austin, Texas, to Kansas City, to Beatrice, Nebraska, to Torrington, Wyoming, all in the search for the best view of the solar eclipse in 2017.
This page will be notes from those adventures, notes about living in a house with two dogs and four cats, and just general silliness.
I hope you enjoy ... This page is going to be a little bit of a mish-mosh.
